News Tip: Legal Experts Available to Comment on Boeing, Binance Compliance and  Monitoring Issues

Summary: Boeing may face criminal prosecution after failing to comply with the terms of a 2021 non-prosecution agreement with the Department of Justice, while Binance has just been appointed an internal monitor to oversee remediation effort as part of its own settlement with the DOJ.

Brandon L. Garrett
Bio:

Brandon L. Garrett is a Duke University law professor and an expert on corporate criminal prosecutions. Garrett has been tracking federal prosecutions of corporate crime for more than 20 years and co-founded the Corporate Prosecution Registry, the most comprehensive database of information on federal prosecutions as well as more than 600 deferred prosecution agreements and non-prosecution agreements. He testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in December on how to better ensure accountability for corporate criminals. Garrett also directs the Wilson Center for Science and Justice and is the author of “Too Big to Jail: How Prosecutors Compromise with Corporations” (2014).
