Receiving Duke Research News Through Google Alerts
You can receive free customized e-mail alerts about Duke research advances by subscribing to the Google Alerts service. This service offers e-mail alerts on an instant, daily or weekly basis of news containing keywords that you specify.
Duke posts all of its research news releases on EurekAlert!, the research news service of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Those releases are included in the Google News feeds.
So, to receive Google Alerts about all Duke research news
- Go to the Google Alerts signup page and specify in your search terms: Duke University EurekAlert
- Specify "News" as your alert type
- Choose whether you wish to receive alerts "as it happens," "once a day" or "once a week."
To receive alerts about research releases on a specific topic, for example cancer, add that topic to your search terms: Duke University EurekAlert cancer
To receive alerts about more than one topic, include all the topics separated by OR. For example, if you are interested in Duke research advances in cancer, engineering and environment, your search terms would be: Duke University EurekAlert cancer OR engineering OR environment
