A man who had been visiting Duke Hospital told police he was robbed early Sunday in a parking garage at the corner of Erwin Road and Fulton Street.

The visitor, who was not injured, told Duke Police that he was near the garage escalator when he was approached by two men on bicycles. One of the men asked for a cigarette and a light. The other man then pulled a knife, held it to the visitor's throat and asked for money. The visitor complied and the two robbers rode away on their bicycles along Erwin Road toward Ninth Street.

Police said the two robbers were described as black men who are 18 to 20 years old. No further description was available.
