Move Out for Charity collects through May 12

Durham, NC -- Move Out for Charity, a program of Duke Recycles, is recycling with an environmental and social conscience. The program will be collecting donation items from Wednesday April 29th through May 12th in various locations on East, West and Central campuses
[see locations & times].
In addition to reducing the amount of material sent to landfills, Move Out for Charity provides many usable products to local charities. These charities provide residents of our community with clothes, shoes, furniture, appliances, and many other vital resources. Last year, Duke Recycles donated nearly 15 tons of reusable items. These items take on heightened value this year for family's struggling with rising unemployment levels throughout the Triangle-area.
The Move Out for Charity program has been very successful each year with the students and the community. Duke Recycles prides itself as a vital participant in the outreach effort of the University community to the residents of Durham.
